Charis Ainslie

Charis Ainslie is a professional translator, specialising in children's publishing, translating from French and Italian to English. She holds a degree in Modern Languages and a Master's in Interpreting and Translating.

Notable achievementsinclude Brotherlands being shortlisted for the ALTA 2023 Plays in Translation Contest and This Last Piece of Sky shortlisted for the ALTA 2022 Plays in Translation Contest. Charis has also served as a mentor in the Foreign Affairs Theatre Translator Mentorship program and taught MA-level French Specialist Translation courses.
