Carl WaitsA life-long Texan, Carl Waits spent most of his life involved in the Dripping Springs Independent School District, first as a teacher and assistant football coach starting in 1965. In 1969, he became the head football coach, and during his long servie to the Dripping Springs ISD, he eventually served as the boys' head coach for basketball, track, baseball, and golf. After retiring from coaching and teaching in 1996, Waits continued serving the school as a bus driver.In addition to his busy coaching and teaching schedule, Waits covered sports for the local newspaper and has used his journalism skills to document, preserve, and promote the history of Dripping Springs, Texas.
