C. Douglas JohnsonServing as editor of this collection, C. Douglas Johnson, Ph.D., is a Professor of Leadership and Management at Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC), Director of the African American Male Initiative (AAMI) Elite Scholars Program, and Co-Director/Faculty Lison for the Global Civic Engagement Program. He received his B.S. in accounting from Clemson University, an MBA in human resources from the University of Connecticut, and a M.S. and Ph.D. in industrial/ organizational psychology from the University of Georgia. During his academic career, Johnson has published and/or presented over 100 papers on topics related to diversity, careers, human resources, and business education. Currently, his research focuses on social capital, talent management, and the experiences of organizational outsiders within (individuals who have been marginalized, harassed, or discriminated against). He has published in peer reviewed journals such as the Academy of Management Learning and Education, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Journal of Career Assessment, Journal of Applied Social Psychology, Educational and Psychological Measurement, and Human Performance. He also has book chapters in Diversity Resistance, Hispanics at Work, APA Handbook of Cross-cultural Psychology and Diversity Ideology.
