C G ThompsonMy dad connected with my mom through newspaper ads. In those days there was no E- Mail or for that matter computers so people had to send letters by U. S. Mail. My mother lived in Philadelphia so once they started corresponding and sending pictures tey decided to meet.Mom, her dad and one sister came to visit by train. Eventually they decided to marry. My Sister died before birth and my brother John died not long after being born.On January 18th, 1945 I was born. The doctors told my parents that I would not live past my second birthday. At two years old my parents moved us. Twice and we stayed in Phoenix, Arizona where I entered the fourth grade. Mom was a praying woman and here I am on my 81st birthday.I married at age 27 to Donna a disabled Vietnam Veteran and we had an interesting life. Like most people some great times, some good times and some bad times. We had two sons who are married with children of their own. I worked in the grocery business most of my life starting at age 16. In later years Donna started writing a book called the Farmer Family Album and I did the art work. However we had a fire and we lost all of our work. I taught science for a year at a private school. While Donna had a radio broadcast on the old K. L. K. Y. station from Prescott Valley, Arizona. I sometimes did the show which we had for four years. When Donna started having worse problems we ended the broadcast. She passed away on September 6th, 2006.I rewrote our Farmer Family Album and expanded it into three books.
