Bryan Matthews

Bryan Matthews is a lecturer at the Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds, UK. He has over 30 years' experience in transport policy and economics across academia, government and consultancy. His expertise covers public transport andactive travel, particularly in relation to disabled people, older people, travel behaviour and travel technologies. He has chaired the ITS-UK Inclusive Mobility Forum and he served, from 2017 to 2025, on the UK government's Disabled Persons Transport Advisory Committee.
