Brian MitchellBrian Mitchell is a former police superintendent, teacher, and psychotherapeutic counsellor. Joining Hampshire Constabulary in 1980, he primarily worked as a detective, heading the CID in Portsmouth and Western Hampshire, before becoming a critical icident and firearms commander.In 2009, he was seconded to the Senior Leadership Development Programme as the Professional Policing Skills lead tutor at the National Policing Improvement Agency (later the College of Policing). He holds a B.A.(Hons) degree, a postgraduate certificate in education, and two diplomas in Transactional Analysis psychotherapy, having completed four years of MSc-level training at the Metanoia Institute in London.
