Boris E Kolev
Boris E. Kolev was born on 2 September 1977 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He holds an LL.M in International Business Law from the Central European University (Budapest, Hungary, 2004) and a Magister Juris degree from the University of National and World Ecoomics (Sofia, Bulgaria, 2002). He completed a Post Graduate Research Project in 2006 at ASSER College Europe titled 'Harmonization of the Legal Status of Professional Football Players within the European Union: Lex Sportiva and Lex Mercatoria'. Boris Kolev has extensive practice as a corporate lawyer specialized in general corporate and intellectual property law, which he initially gained with leading Bulgarian law firms. Currently he is General Manager of the Consultancy Company Decaleges, which runs various projects in the field of sports and media law. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the International Sports Law Journal issued by the International Sports Law Centre of the ASSER Institute in the Hague. Boris Kolev has numerous publications on sports and media law issues, including the article 'TV Rights in Bulgarian Football' in the International Sports Law Journal and the country chapter on Bulgaria (together with Anton Petrov) from the book 'TV Rights and Sport: Legal Aspects', issued by T.M.C. ASSER Press in 2009. Together with Tzvetelin Simov, Boris Kolev wrote the book Sports Law in Bulgaria originally published as a monograph in the International Encyclopaedia of Laws/Sports Law, which covered also issues related to the legal regulation of sports events' broadcasting.
