Bob WilberBob Wilber grew up in a baseball family, with his father, Del Wilber, a nine-year major league player and lifelong contributor to the sport. Bob received a full scholarship to Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville, later signing with the Detroi Tigers and playing in the Oakland A's system. He also scouted for the Toronto Blue Jays. Transitioning from baseball, Bob worked in various sports, including pro indoor soccer and NHRA Drag Racing, earning accolades as a publicist. His fourth book, Forever Hilanders, recounts his first year in professional baseball, exploring the dreams and challenges faced by young athletes. Bob lives in the Twin Cities with his wife, Barbara.
