At 6'8" I had the size and talent to play through college, and the hands plus the creativity to build beautiful things in my workshop. My childhood dreams were withinreach. But...GOD HAD A DIFFERENT PLAN FOR MY LIFE!At twenty, I was diagnosed with an early form of Multiple Sclerosis.My life was over. I couldn't imagine living life with a disability.But God could. For forty-two of the last fifty years not only did I get to play college basketball, but I built five businesses - including a luxury homebuilding company (or "castles" if you will), while amongst a myriad of other things, moving my Church of 14,500 (now 75,000) to a new campus in another town. All this before finally being confined to "Lucy," my screaming red wheelchair - she's with me everywhere I go.I'm just a plain 'ole ordinary guy. Yet, God wouldn't use me because I was too full of myself. He had to get the "me" out of my soul, before "He" could call me to do exceptional things - for His glory, not mine.
