Bibhuti Bhusan MishraDr. Bibhuti Bhusan Mishra is presently working as the Professor & Head, P.G. Department of Microbiology, Orissa University of Agriculture &Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. He completed his M.Sc from Department of Botany, Gangadhar Meher Colleg, Sambalpur, Odisha and M.Phil in 1983 & Ph.D. in 1987 from Berhampur University, Berhampur, Odisha. He has 30 years of teaching at Under Graduate and Post Graduate level and Research experience in the field of Botany and Microbiology. Five students have been awarded Ph.D.degree under his supervision from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha and five more are actively working in the field of environmental microbiology pertaining to reclamation and phytoremediation of industrial wastes and distributed land by bacteria, cyanobacteria, Azolla and plants. He has more than 40 research articles published in journals of National and international repute to his credit. He has contributed research article as book chapter to the encyclopedia 'Environmental Engineering' published by Gulf Publishing, USA and book chapters in many more edited books. He is the Chief Editor of the book "Environmental Microbiology" published by 'APH Publishing Corporation, Ansari Road, Darya Ganj, New Delhi', published during 2009 which has been widely acclaimed by the readers in the field. He has also edited onebook on Microbial Biotechnology published by APH publishing corporation, New Delhi and another book on Microbial Biotechnology: methods and applications published by Norosha publication, New Delhi.
