As a young science graduate and Doctorate in the field of Library & Information Science Dr. Mukherjee has been serving this profession for the last 14 years at various positions. He has the exposure of various theoretical and technical aspects of library and information science teaching and working experience with various types of LIS centres. His publication history includes over thirty research articles in various journals like JASIST, Scientometrics, LISR, IFLA, and the Journal of Academic Librarianship. He is the recipient of Raja Rammohun Roy Foundation award for contributing the best article, Prabhakar Rao Gold Medal Award for positioning First Class in his BSc.
