Betty WhiteBetty White has had a fascination with words since she was a child, from the lullabies of babyhood, through the nursery rhymes and Dick and Jane stories of elementary school. She always loved sharing enchanting stories and poetry, and she brought tha love into the classroom when, after finishing high school and teacher training, Betty spent four years teaching first graders in the very same school and classroom she had started school in fourteen years earlier. Her four children were brought up having fun with words, too, and when Betty returned to school, it was as a librarian.
