Beth HannahElizabeth F.S. Hannah is a Reader in Educational Psychology at the School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Law, University of Dundee, Scotland. Beth has extensive experience as an educational psychologist having worked in several local authorities n Scotland prior to joining the University of Dundee in 2003, initially on a part-time basis. Beth has held various positions in the British Psychological Society (BPS), including Honorary Secretary and Chair of the Scottish Branch, membership of the BPS Practice Board and membership of the BPS Ethics Committee. Furthermore, she was involved with the Scottish Division of Educational Psychology Training Committee when she was Programme Director, MSc in Educational Psychology (2010-2021) and represented the committee on the BPS Partnership and Accreditation Committee. Beth has held various senior positions at the University of Dundee including Convenor of the University Research Ethics Committee (UREC), Convenor of the Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA) working group and interim Convenor of the Research Governance and Policy Sub-Committee. Beth is a Director of the Transformative Change: Educational and Life Transitions (TCELT) Research Centre, an inter-disciplinary and cross-University research centre. Beth was recipient of the prestigious Chancellor's Award for Outstanding Contribution to Teaching in June 2022 and was awarded Senior Fellow of Advance HE in October 2022. Beth undertakes peer review for a range of high-quality international journals and serves on several editorial boards. She is Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Educational and Life Transitions (IJELT), Associate Editor, Frontiers in Education: Mental Health and Wellbeing in Education section, Review Editor, Frontiers in Education: Special Educational Needs section, and International Associate Editor, Educational Psychology Research and Practice. Recently, she co-led the inaugural International Conference on Educational and Life Transitions (ICELT) which had 90+ diverse, high-quality presentations and 280+ delegates from a wide range of countries. Beth has undertaken research and published extensively in the areas of educational transitions, inclusion of children with additional support needs, autism spectrum disorder, consulting with children and young people, and mental health and wellbeing.
