Ben LawrenceDebut author Ben Lawrence is an 11-year-old living in rural Shropshire in England. His main passions are football, motor sport and photography.Ben's idea for Berrington - the spider who wore glasses came from his own experience of being diagnosed wit a lazy eye and needing to wear a patch when he was a youngster. Ben hopes that the Berrington book will encourage parents to have their children's eyes tested at an early age and receive treatment for a lazy eye if they have one. It is really important that children have their eyes tested early, even before they start school. The chances of a lazy eye correcting itself are greatly improved if the problem is picked up early.
