Becky Booth
Becky Booth is a Deputy Manager of the Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board. She remains a regstered social worker. Her practice experience includes ten years as a specialist safeguarding adult practitioner, developing and supporting best practice at all levels of adult social care and in the wider safeguarding partnership. In her current role she helps to develop policies, practice guidance, and other material (including maintaining the Board website) tailored to single and multi-agency audiences, most of which include professional curiosity in some form as an integral concept. In her direct support of five local safeguarding partnerships in Norfolk, she has facilitated dedicated sessions discussing professional curiosity, thinking about how different organisations interpret and apply it in practice. She inputs (including design) into a variety of training courses and events with safeguarding content, and does regular presentations to audiences including social care, health and district council staff, voluntary organisations, health and social care students, always encouraging discussion on what might impact professional curiosity in different situations, what enables it and what difference it can make when done well.
