Beate Dignas

Beate Dignas is Associate Professor at the University of Oxford, UK, and Fellow and Tutor of
Ancient History at Somerville College. Her research focuses on Greek Religion and the History of Asia Minor. She is the author of Economy of he Sacred in Hellenistic and Roman Asia Minor (2002) and Rome and Persia in Late Antiquity (2007). She has also edited the collective volumes Historical and Religious Memory in the Ancient World (2012) and Wandering Myths: Transcultural Uses of Myth in the Ancient World (2018).
