Basil Waite

Basil is an illustrator and character designer with a background in kid’s TV. After spending time working on Blue Peter and at CBBC he found he had a real passion for characters and storytelling and moved away from pursuing animation to chase the dea of becoming an illustrator. He’s illustrated several books, with some interesting characters - everything from pirates to Father Christmas and a French cat, and he’s always looking towards new projects that call for fun creations...! He works both traditionally and digitally and is usually found sketching at a cafe because he’s one of those kinds of artists.
