Barry Bowe
A little more than 30 years ago Barry was teaching algebra, geometry, and trigonometry at a private school on the island of St. Croix. He was also taking correspondence courses about learning how to write.
Prior to that h was a successful sales manager in Philadelphia who always dreamed of becoming an author.
Three years later Warner Books published his first book - Born to Be Wild - a classic true-crime saga about outlaw motorcycle gangs. Bastei Verlag translated the book into German, published it under the title Der Wilde. Born to Be Wild became a Main Selection of the Doubleday Book-of-the-Month Club - and it's still selling today.
He also wrote more than 100 true murder stories for the True Detective Group of magazines. And he was the first sportswriter to put the name of NBA Hall of Famer Tim Duncan on the sports page.
Barry now writes crime fiction.
