Barbara Selke
Barbara Selke grew up in the South Bay community between San Diego, CA., and Tijuana, Mexico. Barbara got her first break interviewing Frank Foss, Sr., a port advisor for the USAID mission in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. That interview eventualy led to the audiobook The Port Advisor, and a regular byline and paycheck at the San Diego area newspaper The Star News.
She received her journalism degree from San Diego State University in 2006 while working to help pay the bills by supervising teens in group homes. What she saw and heard while walking the institutional halls for 11 years checking on heartbroken and angry kids became Street Jagged.
Barbara lives in Missouri with her dog, Gracie. She is currently working on a how-to book for better luck titled Serendipity.
