Barbara JacksonWe asked Barbara how Ralphie and Friends came into her life. Her response was; "It all started in the garage of all places". She went on to explain that if you stare long enough, like clouds, the stains start looking like things. She told her husbandshe was going to outline the stains with a marker and laughed. It had to be re-done anyway. When she was done, there were dogs, bugs, elephants, giraffes, and more. For someone who could only draw stick people and the like, well, she was speechless. Then she thought, why stop here. She decided to draw those characters on paper. She thought for sure that would be impossible, yet there it was, on paper. She had a jaw-dropping moment. Then she told us what happened next. She started drawing pictures of the characters and added backgrounds. She used her imagination and poetry skills and thus........... Ralphie was born. She added she is still working on her masters through the International Professional Grooming Association. She is glad she accomplished being a certified master groomer through the National Dog Groomers Association of America and now, many shows later......she's happy to share a dog's side of things.
