Barbara Boyle Torrey

Barbara Boyle Torrey is a visiting scholar at the Population Reference Bureau. She has held several research positions, including Executive Director of the Division of Behavioral and Social Sciences and Education at the National Research Concil of the US National Academy of Sciences and Chief of the Center for International Research at the Census Bureau. She has edited two other books and published a number of articles on global population and comparative income and poverty trends.
