B E TownsendB.E. Townsend was born and raised in rural Appalachia. He has degrees in history, political science, and computer information systems, graduating magna cum laude. Following college, he served in the Special Operations community as a member of the 75t Ranger Regiment, completing seven combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
