Athanasios AlexiouDr. Athanasios Alexiou has a BSc in Applied Mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics Algorithms and Mathematical Modeling in Biology, and a two-year Postdoc Research Fellowship in NeuroinformaticsApplications from the Ionian University. He is the Head of Research & Education at Funogen Research Company in Greece and AFNP Med Company in Austria, an Adjunct Professor at the University Centre for Research & Development at Chandigarh University in India, and the Department of Science and Engineering at the Novel Global Community Education Foundation (an educational platform registered in Australia). He also collaborates with international research teams (including Yerevan State University, King Abdulaziz University, the University of Sharjah and Damanhour University). Dr. Alexiou's area of research is Cross-Field, with a special focus on Computational Biomedicine. Also, it focuses on developing novel mathematical models and algorithms in neurodegenerative diseases, prognostic Bayesian tools for Alzheimer's disease and Neurodegenerative disorders, sustainable agriculture, nanotoxicity in human health, AI and ML methods, identifying molecular mechanisms of infectious diseases, cancer biomarkers, and the ethical implications of scientific research.
