Arvia Mackaye Ege
Arvia MacKaye Ege (1902-1989) was a poet and founder of the Rudolf Steiner Educational and Farming Association. The daughter of playwright Percy MacKaye, in 1972 she founded the Rudolf Steiner Association in Ghent, New York, the ubrella organization for the Hawthorne Valley Farm, the Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School, and the visiting-students program there. She crossed the threshold at 86 in January 1989.
