Arno R Lodder

Arno R. Lodder is a professor of Internet Governance and Regulation at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and head of the department Transnational Legal Studies. Arno R. Lodder is also affiliated to SOLV lawyers as an Of Counsel since 2014. In hs research and lecturing he basically focuses on all topics related to law and internet, such as liability, contracting, security, privacy, freedom of speech, cybercrime; and phenomena related to big data, web 2.0, virtual worlds, cyberwar and internet of things, smart devices and apps. He has published more than twenty-five (co-)edited and (co-)authored books, such as DiaLaw on Legal Justification and Dialogical Models of Argumentation(1999), e-Directives, Guide To European Union Law On E-commerce(2002), Information Technology and Lawyers. Advanced Technology in the Legal Domain(2006), Enhanced Dispute Resolution Through the Use of Information Technology(2010). He was on the board of the Foundation of Knowledge Based Systems JURIX (2000?2007) and Dutch association of IT & Law (2004?2010). He is an editor of Dutch Journal of Internet Law (2008?present), Computerrecht (2012?2015) and several international journals.
