Antonio Carrasco Antonio Carrasco was born in Alicante, Spain. In 2001 he received his Ph.D. in History from the University of Alicante.

Between 1999 and 2004 Antonio worked at the Miguel de Cervantes Digital Library as editor and coordinator of History websites During that time, he was also the archivist of the Basilica of Santa Maria in Alicante.

Between 2005 and 2009 Antonio was an SEO consultant and director of Research, Development, and Innovation projects at Taller Digital, a technology company, working as a senior scientist on two projects funded by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism, and Commerce, related to the application of digital technologies to education and culture.

Since 2008, Antonio has been working as a professor at the University of Alicante. He has excelled in the application of digital technologies to teaching and is the administrator of several hundreds of blogs on historical subjects written in collaboration with his students. He uses social networks in class to encourage the participation of his students and tries to develop the critical capacity and the communication skills of his students, through diverse activities, among which the gamification of practical activities and role-playing dynamics stand out and has also incorporated the use of mobile devices and e-learning platforms in the teaching and evaluation of his students.
