Anthony SetariAnthony P. Setari , Ph.D., is an assistant professor of educational research methods in the Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences, where he has been a faculty member since 2019. Dr. Setari is the founder and Director of the Program Evaluaton and Research on Learning (PEARL) Center at Coastal Carolina University. His research interests focus on the measurement and evaluation of alternative education settings and programs, with a specialization in using Rasch Methodology to develop and assess the quality of educational measurement tools. Dr. Setari is a former Data Fellow with the Strategic Data Project at Harvard University’s Center for Education Policy Research. In this role, he supported the research and evaluation efforts of District of Columbia Public Schools. Dr. Setari earned his Ph.D. in Education Sciences – Education Policy, Measurement, and Evaluation from the University of Kentucky. He also holds an M.A. in Teaching – Secondary Education from The Johns Hopkins University, which he completed while working as a Teach for America middle school educator in Baltimore City, Maryland.
