Ann CordialThroughout a life filled with many ups and downs, a love of books has always sustained me. Time has been my greatest enemy as I have never managed to have enough of it for myself. Until now. With loved ones long gone and children grown up, I can at lst devote my energies to writing. Stories that I thought of years ago can now at last come to fruition. But why write in rhyme? Well, one of my earliest senior school memories was being given homework to re-write "The Ancient Mariner" but all in verse. Most of my friends, all brighter than me, were at a total loss but I was delighted. The result was about the only time I achieved 10 out of 10. I had found my forte. I believe children of all reading abilities find it helpful to go back to their nursery rhyme roots to achieve a love and understanding of the written word sometimes more difficult in normal prose. Well that's my excuse because I find it easier for me to write in this way. I am now a mother, grandmother and great grandmother to my beautiful granddaughter who I dearly hope will grow up to read and enjoy my work as well as my readers and followers.
