Anisul M. IslamDr. Anisul M. Islam is currently serving in the rank of Professor of Economics and Chairman at the FISER (Finance, Info Systems, Economics and Risk Management) Department at University of Houston-Downtown, U.S.A. He has earned his Ph.D. degree in Ecoomics from the University of Alberta (1985). Currently he is the Course Coordinator for Economics He is the past President of the Southwestern Society of Economists and Chapter Chair of the Academy of International Business-US Southwest Chapter. Dr. Islam has co-authored several books, many book chapters, and published numerous articles in peer-reviewed academic journals in international economics, international finance and economic development. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Global Economy, Trade and International Business and serves in editorial boards of several other professional and peer reviewed academic journals.
