Amanda Gail ClickMy name is Amanda Gail Click. I was born December 18, 1976 in Rusk, Texas. I was raised in Alto, Texas by my parents Eddie and Galan Click of Alto. I am 43 years of age now! I started school in Alto in 1981 and graduated May 31, 1996. I was not the mst popular in my class, but I was always fond of writing words down on paper when I started junior high school! I had a tough time in school making new friends and I never did fit in. I was painfully shy and less talkative when I was around people! I was always hiding inside my shell and never wanted to come out. One year in 1999, I got my picture in the newspaper because I wrote a poem about a special friend of mine passing away! I started writing poems after I got out of high school because I had so many feelings bottled up inside of me that I needed to let them out! So I decided to take a sheet of paper and writing pen and write down how I was feeling! All those feelings came from me bottled up inside my shell all those years in school and sometimes at home. I thought that poetry and a journal would help me release out of my shell! I was less talkative and outgoing when I was writing my poems years ago! I now work at a workshop in Lufkin, Texas with mentally challenged adults! I enjoy it!! Now I am more opened up to people, more talkative, and out of my shell more! I feel like they have helped me over all these years with managing my feelings, dealing with them, and being more outgoing! I am proud of myself for that! I have favorite things that I like! They are purses, clothes, makeup, and jewelry. Nowadays, I go out more with my friends, and work everyday, and in my spare time at home, I watch TV, play games, and just do nothing! I am one lucky person! I don't do much in my life, but that's just the way it is! I can't go into details about how many poems I have written from 1998 to 2019!
