Allan Chapman
Allan Chapman (1946-2026) taught the history of science at Oxford University. His scholarly interests included the history of astronomy and medicine, as well as the relationship between science and Christianity. He wrote numerous academic ad popular books, including Slaying the Dragons: Destroying Myths in the History of Science and Faith and The Victorians and the Holy Land: Adventurers, Tourists, and Archaeologists in the Lands of the Bible.
