Alison Stine grew up in rural Ohio and now lives in Colorado. Her first novel, Road Out of Winter, was the winner of the 2021 Philip K. Dick Award. Recipient of grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and NationalGeographic, she has been published in the New York Times, the Atlantic, and elsewhere.
