Alison Howard

Alison Howard has been knitting since she was just nine years old. A former journalist, she worked as a magazine editor before becoming a book editor. She now works mainly as a freelance editor in the craft sector, as well as editing and checking nitting and crochet patterns, and proofreading and editing academic theses. Alison has edited books in GMC’s Cozy series and has written Mug Hugs, Knitted & Crocheted Slippers, Knitted Cushions, and co-authored Tea Cozies 3 & 4. She has also been a consultant or written under a ‘house’ name for various other titles, including Your Tudor Homework Helper; Your Victorian Homework Helper; Extreme Machines and Amazing Inventions.
