Ali Ahmed Ali Ahmed, MD, MPH, is Associate Chief of Staff for Health and Aging, Washington DC VA Medical Center and Professor of Medicine, George Washington University, Washington, DC, USA. He is also adjunct Professor of Medicine at the University of Alabama t Birmingham, Birmingham, AL, USA. Dr. Ahmed is a fellowship-trained geriatrician with a special interest in improving the quality and outcomes of care older adults with heart failure. He is a recipient of a K23 and two R01 research awards from the US National Institutes of Health. He has presented and published extensively on this topic.
