Alan Fyfe

Alan Fyfe is a Jewish Australian writer from Mandurah, the unceded country of the Binjareb Noongar people. He holds a BA (Hons) in English Literature and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Western Australia, where he is currently a PD candidate and teaches poetry and creative writing.

His debut novel, T (Transit Lounge, 2022), was shortlisted for the T.A.G. Hungerford Award, the Chaffinch Press Award (Ireland) and the West Australian Premier's Book Award. His debut poetry collection, G-d, Sleep, and Chaos (Life Before Man, 2024), was awarded silver in the Flying Islands unpublished manuscript prize and won the 2025 West Australian Premier's Book Awards for Book of the Year and Poetry Book of the year.

Short Poems is Fyfe's second book with Gazebo Books' Life Before Man imprint, following G-d, Sleep, and Chaos (2024).
