Alan Fenwick
Alan Fenwick grew up in Australia and attended thirteen schools across the country before studying surveying at the University of New South Wales. After a brief period working in government, he travelled extensively through Southeast Asia, where h would spend the next 36 years. He initially travelled the region in search of traditional textiles, which he traded for a time, before moving into seismic exploration. He went on to build a career as a geophysical consultant, managing large-scale seismic projects in remote and often challenging environments. He later settled in Jakarta, where he raised a family. Following his divorce in 2006, he remarried and returned to Australia. He now lives in Sydney with his wife and two dogs. Measured Recklessness is his first book.
