About the Author :
"I am a writer inspired by world folklore, supernatural tales, and the stories people pass down through generations. My work is shaped heavily by memory, conversation, and a belief that the unseen world is closer than we think. There was a small diner in the heart of my old town. Although it was closed on Mondays, it was never truly empty. On those quiet evenings, my family and I would gather inside, welcomed like kin by the owners. Our tradition was having pozole for dinner, my parents would play cards while we watched and listed to many incredible stories. The room would hum with talk of shadows that moved on their own, strange knocks at the door in the middle of the night, inexplicable noises, and age-old legends from the region. Those vivid stories lingered somewhere between memory and imagination. I wanted to share some of these folklore and supernatural tales. For some time, I had written several short stories and found my true passion which finally gave birth to a novel. I continue to read and investigate through sources on line which are very helpful, but where I find the best stories is through conversation and listening to many different people, there are many similarities I find all over the world when it comes to these tales, it makes me want to believe more things exist than those we can see with our own eyes. Ghosts, goblins, fairies, elves, djinn, shape-shifters, witches, spirits, and many more characters are found all over the world, and so are those who help us interpret like mediums, psychics, hunters, and people with advanced abilities. I also believe in the willingness to listen, feel and see what's front of you, even when its not that evident, you will find your answers."- J. Barba
