About the Book

As Clay digs deeper, he uncovers disturbing links: a hidden weapons cache, a missing photograph, and two murders that might just suggest something far larger is unfolding beneath the surface of Maynard.

Then federal agents arrive.

Suddenly, Clay is no longer just solving a case-he's questioning everything he thought he knew about his town, his department, and the people closest to him. In such a small town, the secrets run deep. Everyone seems to be hiding something.

With pressure mounting from every side, Clay must navigate loyalty, betrayal, and a town quietly coming apart-while racing to stop a killer who always seems one step ahead.

But the deeper he goes, the clearer the truth becomes: And Clay Finley might not be ready to face the truth when he finds it.



About the Author :
Benjamin Bradley is a member of both Mystery Writers of America and International Thriller Writers. He's the author of the Shepard & Kelly Mystery series through Indies United Publishing House and his short fiction has appeared in literary magazines including Reckon Review and Flash Fiction Magazine. He works in public health and homelessness and lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife, their cat Fox, and their dog Harper.
