Review :
"At its heart, coaching is highly improvisational. In Coaching with a Twist, Betsy and Amy highlight natural links between improv and coaching practice. They explain the philosophy, context and techniques for using improvisation to improve practice." - Dr. Robert Biswas-Diener, author of Radical Listening "This book is chock full of practical tips for coaches (and trainers), presented through their unique lens of humility and humanity. The Question Story game is my favorite and the lesson on Interrupting should be used in every coach training curriculum!" - Erika Jackson, MCC, NBC-HWC, co-author of The Coaching Psychology Manual "As the founder of ICF-accredited coach training schools, I know the power of innovative learning. Having taken Improv for Coaches myself, I've experienced how this approach unlocks creativity, deepens emotional intelligence and strengthens confidence in ways traditional training often overlooks. This book takes what I learned from them to another level - offering even more exercises, deeper skill-building and practical applications that make it a must-have for every coach. If you're serious about elevating your coaching, this belongs on your shelf." - Sophia Casey, MCC, Founder & CEO, ICLI RISING "Step into the playful, transformative world of Coaching with a Twist: Improv for Coaches, where creativity meets mastery. Warshawsky and Salkind masterfully weave the art of improvisation with the craft of coaching, delivering a fresh, practical guide brimming with tools, exercises and facilitation insights. This book invites coaches, leaders and educators to sharpen their skills, build authentic connections and rediscover the joy of learning. Thoughtful, inspiring and fun - this is a must-read for anyone ready to embrace creativity and growth." - Lyssa deHart, LICSW, MCC, author of Light Up: The Science of Coaching with Metaphors "This is the book I've been waiting for! Coaching with a Twist shows what a life-giving and life-affirming process coaching can be. Betsy and Amy are the ideal companions as we find ways of bringing more fun and joy into transformative conversations."- Prof. Christian van Nieuwerburgh, Professor of Coaching and Positive Psychology, RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences
