About the Author :
In 2002 I finally saw my first mountain and first snow. I grew up in the Tampa Bay/Tarpon Springs area surrounded by Greek, Cuban and Island food. My entire family still lives there and I plan on returning there soon as my daughters are older. It was Florida where I spent time being a self taught third generation artist. Their medium was oils. Mine was the 1980s whatever D&D stuff we were playing. As an adult I was a Costume and Production Designer in Independent FIlms, frequently designing costumes, sets and storyboarding when needed. On the side I worked on my own and other independent comics. My own daily web character with GenX humor. During Covid I had to sell my costuming business as it wasn't viable renting without pay not knowing how long we were going to be shut down. Going back to my roots of art with storytelling. To date I have written and illustrated eight children's books. Including two that have been translated into Japanese. I am a self-published author currently working on an upcoming original folk tale (How the Ravens Unraveled the Light) as well as a young adult paranormal life and love lost set among the cypress swamps (The Liwens).. While I have not won any awards yet as an author and illustrator my imagination allowed me to win numerous awards in independent film including an International award in Costume Design in Berlin, 2017. I am a member of the Author's Guild and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. In 2002 I finally saw my first mountain and first snow.
