About the Book

What if it were possible to visit an ancient Biblical land and to experience what life was like? In A Parallel Time & Place: A Story of a Modern Nation Running in Sync with a Biblical Land in an Alternate Reality, an American lady, Saphah, travels back in time to Judah during the reign of reforming King Josiah. There she discovers that spiritual events in that ancient time and place are eerily similar to current happenings in her own modern land. In fact, the moral descent of Judah runs in sync with the moral deterioration of the United States, and the corruption of Judah's capitol, Jerusalem, runs parallel with that of the US capitol. Although Judah is under pending judgment from God, King Josiah has arrived to bring temporary reform and reprieve to his nation as foretold in scripture. But then, the Lord reveals to Saphah that the United States likewise faces upcoming judgment and discipline, unless reform and reprieve occur in America too. Can Saphah warn her people of coming danger before it's too late? Will they listen and heed the spiritual lessons she learned during her journey into that alternate reality? Will they prepare themselves, both personally and collectively, to deal with what God has in store for them? And will they listen to God's message for Judah and America, as Prophet Zephaniah proclaimed: "Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land. . . .Seek righteousness, seek humility: perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the Lord's anger." -Zephaniah 2:3.

Review :
"A Parallel Time & Place is a compelling Christian novel by N. E. Kurz that captivates the readers with its interweaving of faith, prophecy, and divine intervention. That said, the story establishes parallels between biblical history and modern parallels, following a woman named Saphah, who, as a contemporary believer, has been called a "watchwoman" for her nation. Accompanied by the angelic messengers Malak and Nahal, she embarks on a supernatural journey to ancient Jerusalem, witnessing firsthand the sorrows and rebellion of a biblical age. Through these experiences, Saphah learns how to reconcile the lessons of history with the spiritual crises of the modern world. The book is heavy with biblical details and allusions, stressing God's word for humans as always relevant. As Saphah moves through the portals of the time, she is assigned to warn her nation and inspire a spiritual revival. N. E. Kurz beautifully fuses aspects of Christian theology with narrative fiction, creating an enthralling and edifying experience. Saphah's extraordinary journey is also described with eloquent and descriptive prose, teaming with energy and bringing historical and supernatural settings to life that welcome readers into the moment. A highlight of this novel is Kurz's use of dialogue. The exchanges between characters are thought-provoking, with a solid grasp of scripture." - Reviewed by Bradley Allen, 4/5 Stars.
