About the Book

Our tale takes place in the world of Threa, home to many fantastical races- from the fair Aelvs to the hardy Dworvs, the crafty Serpen to the noble Dragons. Once united under the protection and leadership of the martial Order of Paladins, the peace and prosperity they once enjoyed is now threatened by the corruption of their very own Lord Consul, the leader of the Order, and an ancient and terrible dark power that revives to once again wage war against the good people of Threa.Into this conflict is born Feldara, a young Dragoness who, through tragic circumstances, is brought up on an isolated island by her reserved, mostly Human mentor, Anur. Though once satisfied with their reclusive life, once she reaches adolescence a longing for freedom and adventure compels her to escape their hermitage and explore the world without, yet her curiosity, coupled with her fiery personality, accidentally lead to her and Anur's exile- running for their lives from the dark terror. With their only hope for survival being to seek refuge with the Order of Paladins, they must flee across the continent from the dark power that pursues them, and with companions joining along the way, diverse dangers and foes on the hunt, critical secrets yet to be revealed, mystery lovers, and unavoidable detours- that might not even be half the story.

About the Author :
C. R. Adkins is an amateur writer with an abounding love for great works scribed by a plethora of fine authors. His education, while not literary, does include a Bachelor's of Music Composition from Northern Kentucky University- which is surprisingly applicable, as skills and techniques learned in composing music do seem to translate somewhat to literary composition. He currently resides in northern Kentucky, where he enjoys the company of his close family, the conveniences of the Cincinnati metropolitan area, and the natural beauty of the surrounding farms and verdant woodlands. Since writing is, at this time, only a cherished hobby, he presently sustains himself by working in the Healthcare industry.
