About the Book

From author Jill Monaco comes a much-needed message for kids and adults alike - a reminder that we are all created in the image of God. Miranda is a newborn baby when her parents buy a special, gigantic mirror for her bedroom that is a surprising source of fun. How cool that the person in the mirror makes the exact same movements and expressions she does? She soon blossoms into a fashionista and loves seeing her creative clothing choices in the mirror, and she always feels beautiful. But a day arrives when she realizes she looks different from her friend. Miranda wonders - does different still mean beautiful? Then one morning, Miranda wakes up and finds a sticky note attached to the mirror that reads: "You are fearfully and wonderfully made." The next day a new note is stuck to her mirror: "You are loved with an everlasting love." Each morning brings anticipation as Miranda rushes to read the new note attached to her special mirror. As the years pass, Miranda's insecurities fade away, and her new identity becomes grounded and shaped by these scriptural affirmations. But who is leaving the notes? Join Miranda as she uncovers the mystery and learns the meaning behind the notes she finds on her mirror. This touching story will help your child see themselves as God sees them. An Activity Guide is also included so you can encourage your child to view themselves and others through the reflection of God's love. Also Includes: 40-page, full-color, beautiful illustrations Activity Guide to help keep the conversation going and Scripture suggestions so you can create your own sticky notes for your child Provides tips on how parents, grandparents, or other adults can discuss the beauty of God's creation, how God loves them just the way they are, and how He delights in making them unique Links to more resources, Printed Activity Guide, audiobook, and more It makes the perfect inspirational gift for Christmas, birthdays, baby showers, and even graduations For children ages 4-10 (or any age!)

Review :
"I love the hardcover book and the audiobook narrated by Jill Monaco. Plus, she has given us a gift with a gorgeous read-a-loud on YouTube with an original song by Meredith Andrews!" "Miranda's Mirror is a moving story that reveals the lifelong impact a parent's loving words can have in shaping a child's identity. As a mom and a teacher, I know how important it is for every child to hear the truth of how beautiful and loved they are again and again. I will be sharing this wonderful, timely book with every child I know." Carolyn Barnes, Teacher "In a world where girls struggle with body image and self-worth based on appearance, Miranda's Mirror is a needed message to women of all ages regarding their true beauty and value." Michelle Nietert, M.A., LPC-S, Clinical Director of Hope Helps, Author of Loved and Cherished, Make Up Your Mind and God, I Feel Sad "Jill Monaco has written a delightfully poignant story that will strike a chord for any girl, big or small. As I read about Miranda's mirror, I reflected on how I see myself and remembered that if God made me, why wouldn't I be beautiful? I look like my Father! A lovely story...an impactful message." Mary Holmstrom, Life Coach "This was SO cute! I got all teared up reading it! I liked how it was relatable without feeling preachy. The power of the verses was present by making it natural and not 'religious.' I really liked it!" 19-year-old pastors daughter "Miranda's mirror shows us how important words of identity and value affect the way we see and value ourselves. Every day as Miranda stood in front of the mirror, seeing her reflection and looking back at her, she read words that both shifted her doubts about who she was and reminded her of the truth of who she was inside and out. This book paints a beautiful picture of how Father God speaks identity over us." Misty Benson, Pastor
