About the Author :
I am an award-winning Creative Director with twenty plus years of experience in the crazy world of advertising and marketing. I'm a first-generation Mexican-American born and raised in El Paso, Texas. I'm a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where I earned a degree in radio, television and film production with a minor in advertising. Hook 'Em Horns!After graduating, I worked as a production assistant in TV news, as well as film and commercial production. There, I mastered the art and science of taking people's coffee orders and the 1,001 uses for a C47, also known as a clothespin. Buy me a beer sometime and I'll regale you with strange but true PA stories, including the time I had to keep Trigger The Donkey company on a shoot for a car company.Not long after this, I landed a gig as a copywriter and producer, where I wrote, produced and directed everything from TV and radio spots to custom musical jingles and the occasional grand opening event. This one job basically set me up for almost everything I have achieved to this point.n 2020, I started Confessions of a Creative Director, the original podcast created by a Creative Director, for Creative Directors, those who strive to be them and anyone who wants to know our secrets.
