The Little Guardian

Book 1 of The Guardians Series

Part of the Soul War Universe.

About the Author :
Born in Charleston and raised in Summerville, Violet Tempest has lived in the South Carolina Lowcountry her entire life. When she was growing up her mother instilled a love of history in Violet, carrying her to the many historic places throughout the Lowcountry. It was through these experiences that Violet learned to look at the world with the knowledge that not everything is as it appears, that behind the beauty, lies pain. It was through her own pain that Violet found her calling to write, to create, to weave a world full of pain and redemption for all ages to relate to. The stories she writes come from the characters. They come to her to tell their stories, and she believes deep in her soul that God sends them to her. That every step taken through her life led her to become an author.Violet is the creator of the Soul War Universe - a world of Dark Urban Christian Fantasy where good and evil wage war over human souls, where broken people discover their purpose, and where God's love is the most powerful force in existence. The Guardians Series lives within that universe, bringing its youngest readers their first glimpse of the sacred beings who protect God's most precious children. Those Guardians don't just exist in the stories, they are real. Marsh's Creature Creations - Violet's handcrafted companion line - brings each Guardian to life as a one-of-a-kind, prayer-filled, stuffed companion. These Guardians are handmade by Violet in South Carolina where they wait to be united with their Charge - the child they were always meant for. Every Guardian is unique, just as every child is unique. There will never be two exactly alike. Violet believes every person - no matter their age - was created for a purpose. That is why darkness tries to claim us, but it is not stronger than God's love. With His love surrounding us we can make it through anything. The Little Guardian is her debut picture book. Pixie Storm is a writer and visual artist whose work explores memory, hunger, healing, and the complicated tenderness of becoming. Through intimate storytelling and emotionally raw imagery, she captures the quiet spaces between love and loss, recovery and relapse, identity and self-destruction. Her art often blends softness with ache - turning deeply personal experiences into pieces that feel both haunting and familiar.Inspired by lived experience, poetry, and the fragile beauty of everyday moments, Pixie creates work that invites vulnerability rather than perfection. Whether through memoir writing, sketch-style visuals, or reflective prose, her voice centers honesty above all else.Currently based in Summerville, SC, Pixie is developing personal creative projects focused on healing, womanhood, and emotional resilience. The Little Guardian is her first illustrated picture book.
