About the Book

Build the engine that brings your vision to life.

Of the 33 million businesses in the United States, only 4-6% ever cross $1 million in revenue, and a mere 0.04% scale past $10 million. The rest stay stuck. Not because founders lack hustle, but because they've become the Chief Everything Officer, with no team, no systems, and no marketing engine generating the cash needed to grow. They treat marketing like a faucet to turn on when business dries up, instead of the engine that connects their vision to the market and keeps the business alive.

The 4% Code gives founders a clear, practical framework to break free. Through four stages (Design, Build, Fuel, and Scale) you'll learn how to clarify your vision, build a marketing engine that generates opportunity even while you sleep, fuel demand through content, advertising, and partnerships, and scale your impact by empowering A-players who help the business thrive beyond you.

Jeshua Zapata doesn't write from a pedestal. He writes from the arena, still applying the same framework in his own business while helping other entrepreneurs implement it in theirs. That dual perspective, built over two decades and 1,500+ founders, gives him the pattern recognition most founders never get access to. This is the roadmap from grind to scalable growth, written for the entrepreneur who's ready to stop being the business and start building one that lasts.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

  • Design Your Engine: Define your vision, align your team around shared priorities, and create a One-Page Growth Plan that guides execution without complexity.
  • Build Your Engine: Install the systems, brand assets, and marketing foundation that support predictable growth and reduce your reliance on founder heroics.
  • Fuel Your Engine: Use content, campaigns, advertising, and partnerships to generate demand at scale-turning connections into conversations and conversations into revenue.
  • Scale Your Impact: Empower your team, build an intrapreneurial culture, and design exit strategies that increase value and give you freedom.

About the Author :
Jeshua Zapata's fascination with business began as a young boy in Medellín, Colombia when a single moment of curiosity-walking into a business with his father to ask the owner how it all worked-set him on a lifelong path of creation and growth. Today, Jeshua is the Co-Founder and President of Xzito, a growth-focused marketing and strategy firm that has supported more than 1,500 founders and leadership teams across multiple industries. He teaches in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program and speaks on entrepreneurship, leadership, and scalable growth.

Review :

WHAT LEADERS ARE SAYING:

"The 4% Code gives growing companies what they desperately need but rarely have, a clear path to align strategy with a marketing engine that actually scales. Jeshua brings real-world experience as a Scaling Up advisor and shows entrepreneurs how to fuel growth with discipline, simplicity, and focus."

- Verne Harnish, Founder of EO and author of Scaling Up

"The 4% Code is the kind of book today's business owners need: clear, honest, and grounded in real-world experience. Jeshua understands that trust drives growth, and he shows entrepreneurs how to build a marketing engine to connect more effectively."

- Marcus Sheridan, author of Endless Customers

"Too many entrepreneurs treat marketing as a series of ad hoc, disconnected activities. In The 4% Code, Jeshua reframes marketing as an integral part of a business operating system designed to help businesses scale. Drawing on real-world experience and sound business principles, Jeshua provides a clear framework that will resonate with growth-minded leaders."

- Richard T. Bliss, PhD, Babson College Finance Professor, National Academic Director, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses

"Most people treat marketing as lead generation. Jeshua understands it's everything from attraction to fulfillment, all the way to money in the bank. The 4% Code shows leaders how to build a complete growth system, not just run campaigns."

- Ralph White, Author and CEO, Possibilities Unlimited

"The 4% Code provides a much needed map for those looking to lead their businesses and families to lifestyle freedom, but yet feel stuck today in the Chief Everything Officer role. It is the much needed blueprint for the 96% of entrepreneurs that have not yet cracked $1 Million in revenue, and provides guidance on how to build scalable marketing systems to drive growth while they sleep."

- Benjamin Lavoie, Atlas - Legendary Men
