About the Author :
As Co-Founder of Drone Cadets LLC, M. Grace Cantwell has personally taught thousands of children to fly drones safely and has been instrumental in the development of the Drone Cadet curriculum and methodology. Drone Cadets is accredited by STEAM.org and recognized as the most fun and engaging drone program anywhere. Ms. Cantwell is passionate about bringing drone technology to women and underserved communities. As a commercial drone pilot, for Drone Wonders she also codes missions and provides drone photography, imaging and data acquisition services. Prior to Drone Wonders, Ms. Cantwell worked with schools across the Hudson Valley in NY for ten years, to enrich their STEAM programs and promote literacy through the use of robotics and coding. She has conducted STEAM Professional Development classes and "Tech Petting Zoos" for educators, as well as Business Development and Sales Training workshops for professionals. She is a FAA certified Part 107 Remote Pilot, an FAA FAASTeam Drone Pro, and an FCC licensed HAM Radio operator. Ms. Cantwell holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History and a Master of Science degree in Mass Communications. Robert Stipak is a senior Drone Flight School, Drone Racing, drone repair and build instructor with Drone Cadets who has taught thousands of students since April 2019. He brings to Drone Cadets his vast technical knowledge of electronics, computers, software, and sound engineering, and his exceptional ability as a professional organizer; a talent he has elevated to an art form. His organizational expertise extends to management and system operations involving student flight data, physical inventory, purchasing, asset management, time allocation, and support services. Mr. Stipak has an extensive background in sound and lighting production serving as Production Supervisor at KJK Productions, Lighting Specialist at Silent G Productions and Production hand at Westchester Broadway Theatre. He is the Front-of-House Sound Engineer at the Mission Church and has been volunteering in all positions on the Production Team Ministry since 2014. Robert is an FAA Certified Part 107 Remote Pilot and has served his country honorably in the Army National Guard. He's a devoted husband and proud father of three.
