About the Book

The learning experience needs a major overhaul. With all the issues facing higher education and workplace learning, why is there so much resistance to change? The world is moving at warp speed, yet learning leaders struggle in keeping pace with the skills and mindsets that are necessary to lead people and organizations in the 21st century. We've found ourselves operating within the confines of an imaginary box where it's safe, familiar, easy. But this 'safety zone' is a metaphor for complacency, which is the kiss of death for any industry. As a lifelong learner, a visionary, and a former business school professor, Dr. Christine Janssen is on a mission to drive positive change for adult learners - whether that be in higher education or in the workplace. She has witnessed and personally experienced the roadblocks to innovation, and has since channeled her time and energy into rewiring the learning experience with emerging technology at her edtech startup, Edstutia. She is joined by Dr. Yogini Joglekar, the COO of Edstutia and a subject matter expert in adult learning and training. After reading this book, your head will be full of ideas, lots of stories and insights from a variety of learning leaders, and a renewed mindset about the purpose of and possibilities with learning. In addition, the authors provide you with examples and tools to help you take action, because adopting and adapting are no longer optional. Find out why There is No Box.

About the Author :
Dr. Christine Janssen is an entrepreneur, a former business professor, and a devoted New Yorker with an extensive background in business education. She is currently the Founder and CEO of Edstutia, an immersive learning company that is revolutionizing the learning experience for adults - from universities to workplace learning. Her forthcoming book entitled There Is No Box is the result of many years of personally observing/experiencing/researching the chasm between the status quo of learning and what could be. Janssen has earned three academic degrees including a BA in Marketing from the University of South Florida, an MBA from Fordham University, and a PhD in Business Education from New York University. As a lifelong learner and a disruptor with an optimistic mindset, Janssen is now taking her passion for learning and addressing one of the biggest crises of our generation. The combination of low learner engagement + changes to the purpose of formal learning + our fast-paced, tech-driven world + the need for learners to be agile stokes the fire in her belly. A self-proclaimed non-conformist, Janssen is on a mission to drive real, sustainable change in the world of learning/education. Buckle up! Dr. Yogini Joglekar is an educator specializing in experiential learning and intercultural communication, with academic and corporate experience across three continents. She is currently the COO and Founding Faculty at Edstutia, an immersive learning company that is revolutionizing the learning experience for adults - from universities to workplace learning. Her forthcoming book entitled 'There Is No Box' stems from a passion for wanting higher education and corporate training to live up to its fullest potential in serving next-gen students and employees.Joglekar has earned three academic degrees including a BA in English Literature from the University of Mumbai, India, and a Masters and PhD in German Studies from the Ohio State University. As someone who has experienced tremendous growth through non-traditional learning modes- being a first-generation international student, translating a liberal arts degree into a business education career, volunteering with PTA Boards, education nonprofits, and mentoring organizations- she firmly believes that the limits which traditional education and corporate training sets for educators and learners are ripe for disruption.A lifelong learner, connector, and doer, Joglekar is on a mission to set adult learning free from the restrictions of either-or and open up the possibilities of both-and. Her dream education experience: one where learners know, do, connect, reflect, and give back.
