In 2003, deep inside the worst nighttime snowstorm the state of Michigan had ever seen, Dr. Kenneth Grant Mathews happens upon human carnage, and gruesome injury, lying strewn across shattered concrete and twisted steel from the recently collapsed highway of the Mickey Dee bridge. Accompanied by his constant companion, Scooter (a jet-black Malaysian cat that entered Doc's life about 6 years previous), "Doc" Mathews must decide between retreating to the security of his ongoing, self-imposed, drug and alcohol induced delusional exile, or surrendering to the pleadings of his ten-year-old daughter, Susie Mathews, to find his long ago lost humanity, still hidden somewhere deep within his soul, and instead help the people who may still be alive and suffering on the remnants of the bridge below.
Wearing only a button down shirt, oversized slacks, and worn tennis shoes - while armed with nothing more than an outdated medical bag, an old blanket, and scattered memories of medical procedures from his past - Doc Mathews knows that he's risking certain death, on 3 fronts: physical exposure to the sub-zero elements, an unsettled still-falling bridge, and mental exposure from the large, two-headed, slug-like creature (with one dead head) mercilessly torturing him, for the last 10 years, towards eventually complete madness.

SPIDERS falls into the same genre and style as REDEMPTION, and is currently in creation. However, SYTYHABD (a humorous take on the physically tragic accidents of my own life, reflected in the changing lifestyles of the times) has been completed, and is in edit/rewrite mode: COMING SOON!
