About the Author :
Jennifer V Carter is a Journalism graduate from Northeastern University, and Cora's supportive mother. Born in Ontario Canada, Jennifer too holds dual citizenship in Canada and the United States. After Cora's Lyme disease diagnosis, Jennifer decided to co-write a book with her daughter. Her aim is to raise awareness about Lyme disease, ticks, and Lyme arthritis. Jennifer seeks to provide information to children and their parents on playing safely outdoors to prevent tick bites and subsequent illnesses. Cora L Carter is a young author born in Los Angeles, California. She was diagnosed with Lyme disease when she was only eight years old. This experience inspired her to write a book to help other children understand Lyme disease, ticks, and related conditions like Lyme arthritis. Even though she's young, Cora is a dual citizen of Canada and the United States. Through her writing, Cora aims to educate and empower her peers who love outdoor play, like herself, on staying safe and tick-free.
